Today’s app of the week is Notability by Ginger Labs. It has a very similar concept to Paper by 53 but has a slightly better edge to it school-wise. I tried a few notepad apps from the Moleskin App to the Bamboo Notebook, but Notability proved to offer the most useful features and for a cheap price right now of $1.99.
The app comes with a pen, highlighter, eraser, type, and cut tool; within these instruments, are a wide range of customizations of size and colour. You can even customize the kind of paper you write on, be it graph or lined, purple to polka dots!
What’s even more awesome is that you can add recordings right onto your notes. I haven’t tried it yet, but it seems pretty cool to record your prof during the lecture and add it write to your written notes… Furthermore, you can open your textbook or homework exercises in the app and annotate, fill them in, or doodle funny faces on old guys.
Last but not least, it allows you to organize your notes just the way you want it, so you’ll never have to scramble through your bag, looking for the next page of notes to “and the first law of thermodynamics is…”
Here’s something I quickly doodle on the app! Find more about Notability here. Happy note-taking y’all! 🙂
